With the costs of coal and oil going through the roof and electricity in very short supply, it make sense to look at alternative heating systems.
One of the newer methods of heating our houses is by using heat pumps that take the heat from the ground and transfer it into our homes. These are called Ground Source Heat Pumps. The basic part of the system is a 'ground loop' or pipe that draws the heat out of the ground.
These are installed in boreholes drilled into the ground to depths of 50 - 80m. Once installed, they are connected to a pump and heat exchanger and away you go. Low cost environmentally friendly heat, with the added benefit that you can reverse the system in summer to cool your house.
MM Enviro will drill the boreholes (often up to 100m deep) and install the pipes ready for our partners to install and commission the rest of the system.
Wherever you are in the UK there is sufficient heat in the ground to heat your house!
